Wine Tart 


1 bottle Chinon wine (or red if not) 

Same weight Jam sugar 

1 puff pastry from the store 

3 Golden Apples 

2 bcp brown sugar (dry one if possible) 

2 tsp cinnamon 

2 tbsp butter 


The Jam 

  1. Wine and sugar and let it simmer for 30 min until reduced. 2. Put the Jam in sterilized jars and let it cool down 

The tart 

  1. Pre-heat oven at 375°F 
  2. Roll the puff pastry really thin 
  3. Brush butter on one side and sprinkle some brown sugar 
  4. Brush butter on the other side and sprinkle brown sugar 
  5. Pre-bake the crust in the oven for 10 min 
  6. Cut apples into very thin slices and dispose on horizontal bands on the crust 7. Sprinkle with brown sugar, cinnamon and small pieces of butter 8. Bake for 30 min or until apples are soft and the crust golden brown 9. Let it cool down on a rack 
  7. Brush jam on the cooled tart 
  8. Enjoy with a hot tea or mulled wine ;)
